However, the right sign along with an appealing front yard, is necessary. Don’t be in a rush to put up just any sign in your yard, make a good impression and make it stand out!

Size and Placement Restrictions

Before you put any sign in your yard, find out about the restrictions and regulations that may apply. You may be limited to certain sizes or placement areas. Your real estate agent can help you with such details. If they don’t have that information readily accessible, they will know where to get it from. A planned community can have POAA (Property Owners Association of Australia) restrictions and that will be up to you to look into.

Don’t go with a generic ‘for sale’ sign in your yard. Instead it should have clear information including your asking price and phone number. If you prefer, put the phone number of your real estate agent on the sign. You can put a container out there with fliers too. Such information allows them to conveniently pull over and take detailed information with them to review later.
